Dr. Shantel Marie Scott is a passionate educator who loves selfies! Click! Her business,The Learning Doctor Consulting’s mission is to inspire, educate, empower, and build confidence in learners of all ages through the design of personalized, authentic, and impactful learning experiences. In response to the growing urgency to address social media’s impact on social emotional health and to encourage women to truly believe in their selfie, Dr. Scott founded the #THISISME Movement. #THISISME’s mission is to provide educational opportunities for women and girls to claim their space in the world through vocal empowerment. Dr. Scott has 17 years of experience teaching English in grades 7-12 in New Jersey. She specializes in transforming educational environments to focus on the social emotional health of learners of all ages with the use of technology tools. She holds a doctoral degree in Instructional Technology and Distance Education with a focus in online self-presentation, is a Google for Education Certified Innovator and Trainer, a Professional Learning Network Leader for the International Society for Technology in Education’s Learning Spaces Network, and motivational speaker. She speaks fluent Bitmoji and when she is not designing encouraging and educational programming you can find her running around town with her dog, Bo.
